"To achieve all that is possible, attempt the impossible, to be as much as you can, dream of being more." ~ Martin Luther King Jr. Passion is the thread that binds us together. Every great endeavor can only be attained when we have a burning desire to do whatever it takes! Passion is the fuel that gets you up before the rising sun, and the driving force that enables you to have the energy required to achieve a purpose greater than yourself. Passion is what drives the soul. Without it, we would not have the capacity to become our very best, and would not be able to achieve the goals that are possible. Passion is a powerful tool that gives you the ability to turn each of your dreams into tangible realities. Through my Passion of the Martial Arts, I have come to realize my life purpose. My life purpose is to use my leadership skills and expertise in the Martial Arts to inspire and teach children and adults to be their best by being physically fit, mentally sharp, emotionally stable, and spiritually sound in order to have productive citizens of our great society. This is the Mission of the United States Karate Academy. And, this is how I want to be remembered. When I am gone, my dream will live on, thanks to my Passion. It is my ambition to have the headstone upon my final resting place read: "Sal Convento...August 26, 1972...2072...Here lies a man who was a great husband, father, and Master Martial Artist who spread the Passion of the Martial Arts for the greater good of mankind." What are your dreams? What are you Passionate about? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to see your true Passion become a reality? Martial Arts will give its dedicated practitioners a very unique gift: a Passion for achieving your full potential. The Martial Arts can show you how to use Passion to "Be Your Best." This in turn helps others to find the Passion in their lives. Passion sustains and enables you to be truly happy and fulfilled in your life. Without Passion for life, learning, and for achieving excellence, even the mos
t determined among us cannot hope to achieve our wildest dreams. While Passion may not be taught in our society on a regular basis, it is a value that is essential to our success, and is continuously spread through the Martial Arts.
